Make Promises You Can Keep!

Make Promises You Can Keep! Heard these phrases before? – Give Me A Second! Wait A Minute!

These statements are commonly used to buy ourselves a bit of time, however, often said without thought of the other person’s time. Are we just being lazy using phrases that in the end do not really mean a thing?

Let’s be better and mean what we say like. If we need 10 mins, say ‘Hang on for 10 mins whilst I make this call’.  Once said, it is like a commitment. We should honour our guest/loved one/friend for their time is as precious as ours.

How is this related to our brand and marketing? If you don’t truly mean what you say or make inauthentic promises – it is like over-promising and underdelivering.

Here are 3 ways where we can build our brand standing and market authentically:

  • Under-promise and overdeliver – When you can deliver more than what is expected, you start to delight your customers
  • Turn up regularly and add value – When your clients know when to expect you and know that every time you turn up, you deliver something that adds to their perspective, who in their right mind would turn away?
  • Pique their curiosity – Keep comms fresh, interesting, and engaging. Your raving fans will be anticipating your next one like a kid in a candy store!

As time progresses, you are building up your brand, strengthening the relationships and creating better quality lead pipeline.

Its like you read my thoughts! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
I think that you just can do with a few percent to force the message home a little bit, but other than that, that
is great blog. An excellent read. I’ll certainly be back.
