I Spy With My Little Eye

I SPY WITH MY LITTLE EYE – What goes through your mind when you spot a glaring mistake that is made by someone else or a huge untapped opportunity? Do you reach out first or wait for them to approach you?

Whilst the outcome may be the same, it is your mindset that is important, and I love how this relates to our business values and brand identity.

If you are one to reach out first, it may help you to secure a loyal new client or business partner or to simply create a positive social impact. By making the first move, you are actively trying to bring out the best version of others and their respective businesses. Inadvertently, you also paint a great portrait of YOURSELF by taking the initiative to help others.

Alternatively, if you are one to wait for others to approach you, reflect on why. Did it suit you to keep quiet because you are trying to work out where they are friendly or in direct competition. Sometimes, it may be best for you to look after your own interest! Whilst we all want to help others, when in competition, we must keep an eye out for own interests so that in the future we can create further impact.

Your brand is more than your logo or delivery of products and services. It is also about mindset and values like integrity, authenticity, compassion and more. One of mine is ‘Add value, and more’. When you keep adding value, you are topping up your bank account with your customers for great client loyalty!
