Walk The Talk

It would be fair to say that there are more dreamers than doers. A person on average has 6200 thoughts swirling through their mind each day. Bet you some are brilliant ones that we might want to implement straight away whilst others are just fleeting. When you have a cracker of an idea, retain it and take the time to properly execute on it until it comes to fruition!

However, there are some barriers going from idea to execution such as forgetfulness. It might be a good idea, but you may be driving or suddenly interrupted and then lose that trail of thought. Worst still the ‘other’ voice in the same headspace says it is too daring, it will be too difficult and you then abandon it. 

So, I love the phrase ‘Walk the Talk’ particularly when relating to ‘our’ brand. If you feel the passion or the obligation to talk about it, then be committed and do it. When you say what you are going to deliver, then be prepared to deliver what you say! It becomes part of your brand identity, brand promise through your deliverables – whether it is quality service/product or both.

In time, this builds brand credibility and more fundamentally validates that you and your business have integrity and are trustworthy. So, your word does count when followed by action. Walk the talk and dream out loud with action!
