March to the Beat!

Any fan of drummers like Charlie Watts from The Rolling Stones or John Bonham from Led Zeppelin know that as they belt out their magic, they create unique rhythms that march to the beat of their own drums. In fact, when you listen to songs like Honky Tonk Women or Moby Dick, you might already be tapping your feet or swaying to that rhythm!

But, do you know that YOU too, have a natural rhythm in your business world?

If you are an employee, it is conveyed through your personal values – and when they resonate with the business
values your rhythms are in sync! Or when you run your own business, this ideal rhythm occurs when your company’s vision and culture are built on the values and principles that mirror your personal ones.

Like DNA, there is a uniqueness in your set of business values that makes you and your business stand out. This hopefully manifests in your internal and external marketing communications as well as in the delivery of your services to your prospects, clients, suppliers and community.

Similarly, when your HR department hires your staff or when you select your business suppliers for everything from your website design to content creation – you are likely to align with like-minded business partners who share similar values and ‘rhythms’!

So, start that first beat, and then the next – soon you will get the hang of it and then be marching to that special rhythm!
